Context
The OAKAS employment app was developed to help ensure inclusive employment in Cambodia and is tailored to the needs of people with different types of disabilities.
To meet this challenge, we had to provide a very inclusive digital solution, taking into account the current barriers and skills of the user, while providing an accessible user experience supported by a friendly visual identity.
The use of a digital platform to bridge the gap between job seekers and employers in Cambodia has great promise as a cost-effective strategy for the promotion of inclusive employment.
In order to improve access to economic opportunities, the use of digital platforms has emerged as an appropriate solution. Recent data shows that 76 percent of Cambodians own a mobile phone that is capable of displaying Khmer script, with around 48 percent owning a smartphone. In addition, nearly half of the population has access to the internet.
